During the longer days, we’ll try to get out after work and bag a few extra Wainwrights. Today was one of them, and we decided to walk up Holme Fell.

On a chilly, fog-filled morning we set out to tackle Branstree and Selside Pike.

Over the Eastern side of the Lake District, near Penrith, you can find two smallish fells; Little Mell Fell & Great Mell Fell. 

It was a beautiful, crisp morning in early March when we set out to walk a circular route taking in two fells; Black Crag and Holme Fell (spoiler alert, we only did one).
